DIVING & LODGE

DIVING
The ocean has reserved a magical place for this small island, giving it a unique position and conditions.
The depths of Nosy Be offer a myriad of entertainment for every type of diver, from beginners to the most experienced diver who loves adrenaline-pumping dives, to photographers embarrassed in choosing a lens or video operators who love to take pictures or film strange creatures and evocative environments .
The biodiversity of this stretch of the Indian Ocean is incredible. It ranges from dives in "macro" or "muck" mode, dedicated to the search for wonderful peculiarities and rarities such as nudibranchs of all types, ghostpipefish, frogfish, leaf fish, rhinomurens, seahorses and many other goodies for fans of the "little and weird,” right down to breathtaking sightings like white tip reef sharks, gray reef sharks, hammerheads, mobulas and eagle rays, and, in the relevant seasons, the incredible spectacle of migrating humpback whales and whale sharks!
Dives are carried out all year round with different characteristics according to the months.
Available for day trips there are many dive sites, divided between those inshore and offshore, towards the Mozambique Channel.
The seabed is characterized above all by more or less steep falls which, depending on their position with respect to the current, can offer various sightings.
The tide table and the level of experience of the participants, as well as the season, will let us choose among them the best of the day.
During the surface interval between the first and second dive in the morning it is possible to meet humpback whales, the queens of this sea from August to October, with their evolutions and their songs they make sea trips an unforgettable experience. From November to January, however, the presence of plankton and the warmer water will give the possibility of identifying one or more whale sharks that have come to feed.
