The coursePADI Rescue DiversThe words that best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course are “challenge and reward”. Building on what you have already learned, this course expands your knowledge of how to prevent problems and, if necessary, how to manage them.
Divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding, they have ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and you become more confident in your skills knowing that, if needed, you can help others.
During the course, you will learn how to become a better dive buddy by practicing dive skills.problem solving until they become instinctive. Furthermore, the course is pure fun: that is, it is serious, but between training sessions it will allow you to have fun.
If you are a PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver, age 12 or older, and have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive, you may be eligible to enroll in the Rescue Diver course.
In addition, you must have completed an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) course within the previous 24 months. You will complete this training during the Rescue Diver course. At the same time, your instructor may offer you the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty course.
Using a variety of techniques, the PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to handle diving emergencies large and small. Through theory development and rescue exercises, you will learn what to notice and how to respond. During some rescue scenarios, you will put your knowledge and skills into practice.

The Master Scuba Diver level places you among an elite of well-respected divers who have achieved it through excellent experience and training.
Fewer than two percent of divers achieve this level. When you show your Master Scuba Diver certification, people will know that you have dived in different environments and that you have had a good number of diving adventures.
Any diver, as long as they are 12 or older, should aim to become a Master Scuba Diver.
The path begins with the PADI Open Water Diver certification, followed by the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and the PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent certifications).
You must also have achieved five PADI Specialty Diver certifications and have logged at least 50 dives.
