DESCRIPTION
The CENTRAL ATOLLS itinerary is ideal if you are visiting the Maldives for the first time.
It is the most complete because it brings together all the diversity that can be found in this archipelago, from the great pelagic domain to the most varied species that are concentrated in the reefs.
In the Maldives there are two monsoons, the dry one, from November to April, and the wet one, from May to October.
In the CENTRAL ATOLLS itinerary, at any time, regardless of the monsoon, the sight of the whale shark and manta rays is almost guaranteed.
During the seven days of duration of the cruise, dives are made in the main points of underwater activity that this itinerary offers us.
The Thila are large mountains submerged in the sea which are found from six meters deep to a maximum of thirty or forty.
The Giri have the same type of formation but are closer to the surface, reaching only three metres.
The Kandu another type of diving that we do during the week in the central atolls itinerary.
For many it is the most beautiful dive of the cruise. It takes place in the space between two islands, commonly called KANDU O PASS, where the currents of the ocean pass inside the atoll, allowing the passage of large pelagics. Here you can witness close-up viewing of gray reef sharks, white tip reef sharks, tuna, trevally and eagle rays.
